Description
Genmaicha is the Japanese name for green tea combined with roasted rice.
Tea steeped from these tea leaves have a light green and yellow hue. Unlike other green teas, Genmaicha is naturally balanced with Yin and Yang as it contains both green tea leaves and roasted rice grains. Its flavour is mild and combines the fresh grassy flavour of green tea with the aroma of the roasted rice. Enjoy at any time of the day.
How to Brew
- Heat water to 80 degrees celsius (80% boiling water, 20% cold water)
- Use 1 teaspoon of Imperial Genmaicha green tea leaves for 1 cup of tea.
- Pour water into tea pot or tea cup and brew for up to 1 minute.
Tea can be brewed for 2-3 infusions.
